Johnson Retreat Center at Camp Wasson
Located on the edge of Parksville Lake in beautiful Ocoee, Tennessee, Camp Wasson is an ideally situated getaway and is perfect for family retreats and functions, churches, business groups and various other large groups. The retreat center is operated by YMCA Camp Ocoee.
There are 3 cabins which sleep 8 and one which sleeps 6. All cabins are air conditioned and winterized and have bathrooms, stove, refrigerator and a satellite TV with VCR. There is also a beautiful, large air conditioned/winterized lodge which sleeps 32 and comes with a large kitchen, 7 bedrooms with separate bathrooms, 2 gas fireplaces and 2 satellite TVs with DVD/VCR. All facilities are on the lake and canoes are provided. Facilities are available year round. All groups must provide their own food and linens (including towels and pillows), although it can be provided for an additional fee. Rental is made through the camp office on a first come basis.
Large Group Rental
The main camp is available for large groups April, May, mid August, September, and October. We are able to accommodate up to 220 people in open air cabins. Camp Ocoee provides the food service with our personnel. The swimming area, canoes and playing fields are part of the agreement. Contact the camp office for more details and booking.
High Ropes Course & Climbing Tower
Camp Ocoee has a High Ropes Course and a state-of-the-art 40 foot climbing tower which is available to groups. This can be provided for day or over night groups. Contact the Camp Wasson Director for pricing, availability and booking.
Paintball
YMCA Camp Ocoee also facilitates its own paintball program on camp property. Groups can experience the splattering excitement and challenge of paintball games at an additional program fee.
Additional Activity Options
Along with the programs above, YMCA Camp Ocoee can also offer additional services and activities, including team building, archery, riflery, canoeing and much more. Call the camp office for further information and prices. Bookings need to be done at least 2 weeks in advance.
